small business
this business is small, and so is our production method. we individually craft and hand-pour our candles in small batches
vegan & cruelty free
we only use ingredients that are never tested on animals. our candles are free from carcinogen's, phthalates, and all other reproductive toxins and chemicals on California's Prop 65 list
eco-friendly
our candles are made from all-natural organic soy wax and are hand-poured into recyclable glass jars. they come packaged in a recycled honeycomb wrap and burn cleanly for 40+ hours
about amour fou
hi! i'm julia, and welcome to amour fou! two years ago, i had the idea to create film-inspired candles, and the rest is history! "amour fou" is french for "mad with love," which is how i, and i hope you, feel about the products we create! since amour fou's beginning, we have constantly worked to improve our items, apply our customer's ideas, and continue creating one-of-a-kind products that bring joy to those that buy them.
i'm often asked how i'm able to come up with scents that so perfectly complement their inspirations. i have always associated memories and emotions with sensory experiences, and much of the thanks goes to my diagnosed Autism, which has allowed me to see (and smell) things differently than others.
